Thunderstorms under observation TRAC report:
This live lightning detection system utilises a LD250 Boltek station and NexStorm Software. Plotting lightning strikes up to 300 miles away from the base station here in Clacton-On-Sea by detecting radio signals emitted from lightning strikes. This ultimately covers the whole of England, Wales, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Southern Scotland, Northern parts of France and Western parts of Germany.

Accuracy will decrease with reference to lightning strike plots on the map this can be particularly noted after 300 miles.

By no means should this lightning tracking system be used within a life or death situation.
