Live in Clacton or just visiting? The Clacton Weather Centre provides live weather from a Davis weather station located a few hundred meters away from the beach.

In 2017 a lightning detection system was installed from Skyview Weather providing trackable live lightning maps for the UK, Northern France, Belgium and Netherlands.

​

Media appearances include BBC UK news, BBC Essex, BBC Solent, BBC Weather Watchers, ITV Anglia, The Sun, Metro, Stormhour, Clacton Gazette, Gazette, The Echo and the East Anglian Daily Times.

Founded in 2016 by Shantelle Robinson, the Clacton Weather Centre provides live weather, from a Davis Vantage Vue and is part of the Met Office weather observation website and Wunderground weather station network. From 2017 a live lightning detection system was installed, utilising a Boltek LD-250. This information is freely available for public knowledge. Educational resources and information is also available on request or via the education page.
